A study was conducted in China with 450’000 men and women, and results shows that people who consume spicy foods 7-8 times a week are 14% less likely to die early and people who consume spicy food once a week have a higher risk of heart diseases.
It is also stated in the study that if you really want to avail the benefits of spicy foods than it must not be connected to carbonated drinks like beer etc.
