Honey is a natural ingredient and used in raw form especially as a tropical treatment. It is used for many skin diseases but it is best in the case of itching, scaling and hair loss. Honey makes the scalp skin and hair smoother and stronger. The mixture of honey and yogurt is good for dandruff.
According to a research conducted on the patients experiencing seborrheic dermatitis, a decrease in hair loss and improvement in hair health was observed after applying the honey solution in hair. These patients have the problem of hair loss with itching. They were provided a honey solution consisting of 90 % honey and 10 % water. They applied it on their scalp every other day for 4 weeks and attained good results.
3. Nuts and Seeds
Researchers have the opinion that for proper hair growth omega 3, omega 6 rich foods are essential. Nuts and seeds are high in omegas as well as essential fatty acids and antioxidants.
Even a research has proved this fact which was published in January 2015 in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology. In this research, the subjects were provided a nutritional supplement consisting of omega 3, omega 6 and fatty acids for six months. After the specific time period of six months, 90% of the subjects reported a reduction in hair loss, 86 % found hair growth and 87 % noticed thicker hair.
In nuts and seeds, walnuts and flaxseed are best for hair.
