Macaroni Salad Recipe

Macaroni salad is a creamy salad which is a kind of Pasta salad. It is an American side dish served with stakes or fried chickens or barbeque. It is cooked in different forms in different countries. Philippines served as a dessert by adding sweet and fruits into it. Generally, it is packed with elbow macaroni’s, herbs, spices, mayonnaise, vegetables, and mustard sauce. It is easy to prepare at home depending on the components you are adding into it. Non vegetarians like to add boiled chunks of chicken or boiled eggs into it.

Macaroni salads are easy to make, you can even eat it as a proper snack if you are not in mood to cook food. Adding right vegetables and spices can make it rich in nutritional value. If you are on a low carbohydrate diet than to get proper amount of calories add less macaroni’s because it contains a lot of carbs and less mayonnaise so that you can avoid extra fats and more vegetables and chicken to get more protein. So that you can eat it as much as you want without having fear of obesity.


  • 400 Grams: Elbow Macaroni
  • 1 Litre: Water
  • ½: Cabbage, Thinly Sliced
  • ½ Cup: Cream
  • 1 Cup: Mayonnaise
  • 1: Red Pimento, Julienne
  • 1: Carrot, Julienne
  • 1: Capsicum, Julienne
  • 1: Orange Pimento, Roughly Chopped
  • ½ Teaspoon: Dried Oregano
  • ½ Teaspoon: White Pepper
  • ½ Teaspoon: Black Pepper Powder
  • ½ Teaspoon: Chilli Garlic Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon: Lemon Juice
  • 1 Tablespoon: Olive Oil
  • 1 Teaspoon: Mustard Paste
  • To Taste: Salt


Take one piece of cabbage and cut it thinly. Retain for later use.

Now take some carrots and cut it into thin strips. Store for later use.

Randomly chop orange pimento (bell pepper) and store for later use.

Take one piece of red pimento (bell pepper) and cut into good julienne.

Now take one capsicum and cut it into good julienne. Retain for later use.

Now add 1 litre of water and salt in a little pot, blending, and wait to a boil.

Now add 400 grams of elbow macaroni, blend properly, and cook for eight minutes until al dente.

Now add all other ingredients like olive oil, black pepper, dried oregano, chilli garlic powder, white pepper, lemon juice, salt, mustard paste, mayonnaise and cream.

Then add red pimento, julienned green bell pepper, orange pimento, and julienned carrot, and sliced cabbage. Mix properly.

Macaroni salad is ready. Enjoy!
